Refer a patient for ABA therapy in Wake County, NC
Second Chance ABA accepts referrals for adolescents and young adults ages 7 to 21 across Rolesville, Wake Forest, Raleigh, and the rest of Wake County. Below is exactly what we commit to on every family you send us.
What happens to the family you refer
Too many providers refer a family into ABA and never hear another word about it. You will not have that experience with us.
We call you back within one business day
Every inquiry gets a first response within 24 hours. If we miss you, we try again within 48 hours of that first attempt.
We verify your benefits in 24 to 48 business hours
From the moment we have your insurance information, you get a clear picture of coverage and out-of-pocket cost before you commit to anything.
We reach out within 72 hours to schedule
You will hear from us to book your assessment, with written confirmation by email and a reminder call or text a day or two before.
Assessment begins within 5 to 10 business days
Once intake paperwork is complete, we start the assessment. Most families go from first phone call to start of care in about 30 days.
And we close the loop with you — an acknowledgement the day your referral arrives, and a care update as the family moves through intake and into services.

Send whatever you have. A diagnostic report and insurance information move fastest, but we can start with a name and a phone number and chase the rest ourselves.

Clients whose needs exceed what our program can safely support, including anyone requiring a higher level of medical or psychiatric care, or presenting a safety risk beyond what our staffing can manage.
We would rather tell you that on the phone than six weeks into an intake. If a family is outside our scope, we will say so and suggest where to send them instead.
Twenty minutes with your team, lunch on us
No slides and no pitch — just an open conversation so your clinical team and front desk know who to call when a family needs ABA, what we can take, and what we cannot. We will work around your schedule completely.
Have a family in mind?
Call and we will tell you in one conversation whether we can take them.
